CALS: John Gould Fletcher Branch Library

Opened in 1996 and named after the Little Rock native who was the first Southern poet to win a Pulitzer Prize, the John Gould Fletcher Library is a branch of the Central Arkansas Library System. Reopened in September 2017 after extensive renovations, the 13,500-square-foot facility hosts many community events and occasional jazz concerts (e.g., “Sounds in the Stacks” by CALS' Arkansas Sounds project).
